Landscape photography is my first love. I have been exploring with my camera for over 20 years. I absolutely love nature; occasionally, you will find cityscapes. I love the drama in the sky when a storm is approaching; the ocean's moods, river rocks and calm lakes. I love capturing the beauty of our planet.
Nauyaca Waterfalls
Dominical, Costa Rica
This amazing waterfall is located in Dominical, Costa Rica. "The Nauyaca Waterfalls are located in a canyon approximately eighty meters wide. One of the falls is forty-five meters high in free fall and the other twenty meters high in stepped fall, forming at the foot of it, a pool of a thousand square meters and six meters deep. Then there are other natural pools of smaller size that you can enjoy." Nauyaca web page
Palcoyo Mountains
Cusco, Perú
These beautiful Palcoyo Mountains are located about 4 hours ride from Cusco, with an elevation of 16 thousand feet above sea level.
About a hundred years ago, Palcoyo Mountains were under snow. Global warming exposed the coloration of the mountains. These amazing colors are due to several minerals. The red coloring is due to an iron oxide coating and cementation, also known as hematite, between the sandstone grains. The metallic yellow for contains sulfur and iron sulfide and the green tones come from chlorite or iron silicate clays. The whitish tones are colored by quartzite sandstone.
The sandstones suffered alterations due to the weather conditions for millennia, and it still changing today.

Legend has it that a deity planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In a rage, the deity sliced the river, creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.
